Rare J.P. Stevens 18 Size 14 KaratRare J.P. Stevens 18 size 11 jewels from the mid 1880's in a 14 karat hunter case. J.P. Stevens was in the watch business in Atlanta for only a few years. He bought movements from other companies and created his own brand from these raw movements. This one is a Hampden. The dial is correct and flawless. The overall condition is excellent. This model was one of, if not the highest grade that they made at the time and was railroad grade. Double sunk dial with a few small hairlines. The case is signed 18k and is very heavy.
